What we collect
When you use this site we collect the information you give us directly — for example when you join the alliance, sign up for the newsletter, RSVP to a meeting, apply as a vendor, purchase a sponsorship or preorder merchandise. That can include your name, email address, phone number, business details and payment information (payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number).
Like most websites, our hosting and email providers also record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit.
Advertising measurement (Meta)
This site uses the Meta Pixel, a piece of code from Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram). It tells Meta which pages were visited and which actions were taken on this site so we can measure how our Facebook and Instagram advertising performs and improve it.
The pixel may set or read cookies and sends Meta technical information about your visit, such as your IP address, browser and device details, and the pages you view. Meta may connect this activity with your Facebook or Instagram account under Meta's own privacy policy.
Visitors in regions that require consent (the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland): the Meta Pixel does not load for you at all, and no advertising measurement of your visit takes place.
You can opt out of Meta's use of your activity for ad personalization at any time in your Facebook ad preferences, or by enabling your browser's Global Privacy Control or blocking third-party cookies.
If you give us your email address we use it to send the messages you asked for — newsletters, meeting reminders, event updates and receipts. Our email is sent through Brevo. Every non-essential email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can email us at any time to be removed.
What we never do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with advertisers except the limited, technical measurement data described above. Member and vendor information appears in public directories only when you have asked to be listed.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw from any mailing list, by emailing support@ssdba.org or calling or texting (903) 251-3260.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above. Questions? Contact us.
